Cambodian authorities have introduced one other two-year delay in introducing a capital beneficial properties tax.

Guidelines for the regime have been set out in Prakas 346 in Khmer language, issued in September 2020. The levy, initially scheduled to be launched from July 2020, was beforehand prolonged to January 1, 2021 and once more to January 1. 2022. It applies to beneficial properties on the sale of all actual property, mental property and investments, together with leases, shares and overseas foreign money, much less allowable deductions.

The levy will now solely be launched from January 1, 2024, the federal government stated in Discover 4577 GDT issued on March 9.
